You can request a local student Buddy to help you settle in. Your Buddy is a volunteer who can answer everyday questions, help you get oriented, and share local tips.
We organise the Buddy Programme in small groups, meaning a local volunteer usually looks after a few exchange students together. While we recommend applying before you arrive in Graz, you are also welcome to join the programme after your arrival. It is a way to meet local students and fellow exchange students right from the start of your stay.

Who can join a Buddy Group?
You are eligible to join if you are doing an internship in Graz or studying at any of the following institutions:
- University of Graz (Karl-Franzens-Universität)
- Graz University of Technology (TU Graz)
- FH Joanneum
- Medical University of Graz
- University of Music and Performing Arts (KUG)

How it works

- Our team verifies your student status.
- Once approved, you will receive an email containing the link and password to our Buddy Gallery, where you can see available local buddies and select your match!
